Miss Y {DC boudoir and glamour photographer}

I had the distinct privelage of photographing this lovely lady a few weeks ago.  We had so much fun getting her all dolled up for her fabulous glam session!

She just happens to be an incredibly talented graphic designer with the most beautiful letterpress work I have ever seen…be sure to check out her site!

Ladies, know that a non-boudoir glam session is totally an option as well!  While I do love lingerie, there is something so lovely and timeless about women’s portraiture as well.  I invite you to grab a girlfriend a come into our studio for a day of pampering and photos…I promise you won’t regret it.  (And it’s a great way to get a few new headshots!)

a brand I love…BHLDN

they steal my heart every time…the feminine textures, artistic silhouettes, and classic looks that come out of BHLDN

…and this precious video?  Doesn’t it make you want to celebrate being  a woman?  And get dolled up to go out?

Our Unveil sessions are twice as fun as this, and you will walk away with photographs of you…that you’ll love!  And if you are thinking about that…check out the BHLDN line of lingerie.  It’s to die for.

I went to a boudoir workshop

and I MODELED for it!  That’s right…I had my own boudoir pictures taken…

…by 12 people

…all at once!

I’ve known for a while that I wanted and needed to do it, and if you’ve met me, or read this blog, you know how wholeheartedly I believe in boudoir.  When I found out that two boudoir photographers who I highly respect were hosting a workshop* at WPPI I jumped on the chance to learn from them…and have my own pictures taken!

It was an incredible experience from beginning to end.  The women I worked with/modeled for at the workshop are all amazing women and talented artists.  It was an honor to be among them and learn with them!

I had the chance to be photographed again by the very talented Leah Aubrey of Intimate Boudoir, and I finally decided it was time to get a book for my hubby (nearly a year later).

I thought you might like to see the album and a few of my favorite images!  Images you see here are by Jennifer Williams, Leah Aubrey, Anda Marie, and Julie Socher …all amazing ladies and talented photographers!

“how sweet it is…to be loved by you” (our first dance song at our wedding)

Miss J (Lexington Kentucky Boudoir Photographer)

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Miss J’s lovely boudoir session in Lexington as Christmas present for her hubby!  She was a blast to work with, and her album was all kinds of gorgeous (more about that soon)!
