a question I’m so familiar with, yet I’ve struggled time and time again to put a response into words.
But I think even more than that, it’s because boudoir has a different meaning to every woman.
for some it’s a perfect gift for that special someone, the perfect surprise for an anniversary or other special occasion.
for others it’s an excuse to get all dolled up,
and still for other women it’s a way of reclaiming self-confidence in themselves and in their bodies.
I think in my case, that last one hits home. We, as women in today’s world, are constantly bombarded with magazine ads, TV commercials, facebook ads, celebrities and more that tell us what beauty looks like. Beauty is usually tall, slender, and spotless. We compare ourselves mercilessly with those images, and so often come out feeling less than lovely.
But we are so much more than that. You are more than that. You are a valuable creation of God. You were made unique; there is not another person exactly like you in existence.
So embrace your curves, your birthmarks, and your crazy hair. Because each one of those qualities makes you uniquely you and uniquely beautiful.
If you need a reminder, email me to book a session and let me help you re-claim your confidence. Because you are a beautiful work of art.
