I’m a dreamer.
I love late nights, dark chocolate and coffee.
I also love bear hugs, rice krispies, sparkly things, and reading subtitles on foreign films.
I love my husband, my family, and my job…in that order.
I fell in love with photography in high school, started a business just after college, and was sure I’d happily photograph weddings for the rest of my life. Until I photographed a boudoir session.
A fellow photographer and friend asked me to photograph her session and after much convincing I conceded (read the full story here). We set a date and I showed up nervous and mostly clueless to our session that day. But I walked away a different photographer. I knew that day that I wanted to photograph women’s portraiture more than anything else. Not wanted to…had to.
To me Unveil is about real women re-gaining confidence in the incredible work of art that is your body. Each and every one of us was created unique and beautiful, and I believe that my job as a photographer is to open your eyes to see yourself that way.
Will you allow me to do that for you?
